Self Care Saturday
Inspired by the HBO series ‘Insecure’, Self Care Saturday was a set of conversations navigating the topic of self-love. Participants were invited to share and enjoy conversation with peers about their relationship with themselves, their relationship with their space, and how we can embrace self-love in our lives.
Before each conversation, participants were asked the following questions through the sign-up form:
How would you define love?
Here are some of those answers:
“Deep care, compassion, respect, joy, and appreciation for, and attuning to another & their needs and dreams.” - KW
“I define love as everything you put yourself into. Love is everything, and it floats all around us and fill spaces to cushion us even if we can’t see or feel it. “ - SW
“whew, this is a good question that i honestly don’t have an answer to. but i’m actively trying to figure out what it means and looks like for me” - SS
“My willingness to extend myself in order to nurture spiritual and self growth in others and myself” - SB
“Organic, deep admiration and affection for another.” - KG
